Specifications
Care & use:
- Main body and lid: wipe clean with a soft cloth soaked in warm water and mild detergent. Dry with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cloths or strong chemical cleaners.
- Bucket: clean with hot, soapy water. To help remove unpleasant odors, a solution of baking powder and water may also be used. Wipe dry before replacing in unit.
- Odor filter: For best performance, we recommend replacing every three months.

Excellent product and service
"Size wise it is large enough to hold a decent amount of food waste without taking up much working space - and it looks good in any kitchen. The lid filter eliminates all smells. I had a small issue a month after purchase and JJ sorted it out swiftly and effectively. I own a number of JJ products - I can’t fault any of them!"
Disappointed
"The filter was constantly falling off and we’ve now discovered that it’s missing so it must have fallen into our last bag of food. The design isn’t good as it fell off pretty much every time we opened the lid! Is it possible to purchase a replacement as it’s useless without it as insects can get in now?"
Filter falls out easily
"Bought this recently to replace an older JJ caddy. Would not recommend as the filter falls out nearly every time I close it. Faulty manufacturing? I have tried wedging it in with a bit of foil, which works for a while but then falls out again. Not happy. 5* looks 1* function."

It’s almost perfect
"I read all the reviews about lid falling off and assumed it was a them issue. Sadly it’s not. Mine also fell off and is somewhere in a rubbish bin. I have sellotaped the filter to the lid but for 50 quid it’s just not good enough. I love everything else about it but would suggest not buying until lid is fixed. Please listen to the reviews!"
Wot's not to like?
"This caddy has revolutionised my kitchen. It's smart enough to be on the worktop right by the chopping board so all waste slips in easily with no spills. Being oblong rather than square helps. The bags are easy to fit & don't leak or break when the caddy is emptied. Having them stored underneath is genius. The filter means no smells, even with fish. I now have space under the sink to organise other kitchen essentials & no old bits of food lying around after misfiring from an awkward position. This is not a cheap option but worth every penny. Pity I had to wait until my 80th year to find it but thank you anyway!!"

Filter falls into compost every time lid closes
"The size and stainless steel exterior are nice, and the lid mostly stays up while I'm adding things to it. However, nearly every time I close the lid, the filter and filter lid fall into my compost. I've had to add one more thing to my very busy brain to have to check before emptying the compost, and for that, I can't give it more than three stars."
